Day 38: Pau, France

Today, it was Tuesday.  I didn't have class until 11h, so  even though I was up until 4h 30 because of the rangers game and ensuing homework, I was still going to get like 5.5 hours or sleep.  Luckily, the guys working on my host family's house started using their pneumatic drills at 8h 30, so I got to just have 4 hours of sleep.  Since I was up early, I finished the last of my homework, even though I wish I had practiced.  Class was ok, and lunch was pretty good too.

My Tuesday afternoons are still completely awful.  4.5 hours of French classes without a break is really hard.  Especially because that doesn't even start until 15h.

After class, Laura and I decided we would go get crepes for dinner.  This seemed prudent because, after all, it was Tuesday.  We walked down town, all the way to Chez Maman.  When we got there, we were met with a pretty gruesome scene.

Gruesome scene.
Yes.  Chez Maman.  Was closed.  We probably stood there for about 5 minutes collecting ourselves before deciding that we still needed to eat dinner.  We walked around for a while looking for a restaurant that was affordable, and then we gave up, and went to get kabobs.  They were really good as usual, but I didn't care, because I wanted a freaking crepe.

This is what my kabob sandwich looks like. In Europe, you don't eat Fries with your fingers.  You a "minuscules fourchette frites françaises" which is French for tiny French fry fork. (jk I just made that up.)
That whole adventure took about 3 hours, so by the time we finished eating, we just went home.
